Hrair Zeitounian, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Hrair Zeitounian, born in Pasadena and raised in Burbank, proudly honors his family’s roots—his parents immigrated from Beirut, Lebanon before he and his twin were born—instilling in him a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and strong community values.

Dr. Zeitounian discovered his calling early, blending a lifelong love of animals with a deep interest in science and service. He earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from UC Davis, where he volunteered at local shelters and the UC Davis teaching hospital’s farrier service. He also conducted quail nutrition research and participated in equine genetics studies focused on ocular diseases at the Veterinary Genetics Laboratory.

He continued at UC Davis to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, completing comprehensive clinical rotations, surgical internships, and emergency case management. He now brings this extensive experience and a commitment to evidence-based medicine to every patient he treats.

At home, Dr. Zeitounian shares his life with two beloved cats: Misty, a long-haired tuxedo cat with a curious and affectionate nature, and Frosty, a playful and intelligent Siamese who never turns down a game of chase.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Zeitounian enjoys staying active through sports, spending quality time with friends, and unwinding with video games. Dedicated to continual growth, he remains focused on advancing his surgical and clinical skills while always prioritizing compassionate care, and working with and forming long term trusting relationships with owners and their pets to form the foundation of quality medicine.
